Fido’s ‘Joy Is Coming’ Named Nigeria’s Song of the Year

TurnTable Charts has released its 2025 year-end rankings, naming Fido’s uplifting hit ‘Joy Is Coming’ as Nigeria’s Song of the Year. The chart platform uses a blend of data, including airplay tracking from Radiomonitor and streaming statistics from Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay, Audiomack, YouTube and radio streams.

The song dominated the year-end list, becoming the only track in two years to score a clean sweep across all major charts. Over the 52-week tracking period, it amassed 87.2 million on-demand streams, earning the No. 1 spot on the streaming chart.

‘Joy Is Coming’ also recorded 1.56 billion radio airplay impressions, finishing at No. 4 on the radio chart — a performance TurnTable described as exceptional in scale and reach.
