FIFA has confirmed that the winning team at the 2026 World Cup will receive $50 million in prize money, part of a record $655 million distributed among teams. 
The prize allocation also includes payments for runners-up and other placements under the expanded 48-team tournament format. 
Each team will also get $1.5 million towards preparation costs, FIFA said.

Football officials said the increased prize money reflects efforts to promote the game globally.
