Fire Destroys Billions Worth of Property in Kano Recycling Hub Blaze

Properties worth billions of naira have been destroyed in a fire outbreak that engulfed a recycling hub and market in the Dakata area of Kano State. The fire started around 4 a.m. on Wednesday at a recycling hub where plastics and scraps are processed before spreading to a nearby groundnut mill market.

A security guard at the hub, Adamu Umar, said the fire was triggered by electrical sparks from nearby poles. The blaze quickly spread, consuming food items and other provisions in the market.
