The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has reported a fire outbreak at a one-storey building in Lekki Phase 1.
The incident, which occurred at No. 2A, Abike Sulaiman Street, was confirmed by the agency’s Permanent Secretary, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, in a statement on Thursday.
He also said that emergency responders swiftly attended to a distress call in the afternoon. Working in coordination with other agencies, they managed to contain the fire, successfully preventing it from spreading to neighbouring properties.

Authorities have not disclosed the cause of the fire, and investigations are underway. Residents have been urged to prioritise fire safety and report emergencies promptly.
