A book written in honour of the first lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Administration and Women Affairs, Dr Hajo Sani was launched at the State House in Abuja on Thursday. The book, a 10 chapter biography, is titled “Being Different”.

The book launch was attended by some top political figures in the country, including vice president Yemi Osinbajo, a former Governor of Lagos State and Chieftain of All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi, United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Amina Mohammed and former first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan.

Speaking at the launch, vice president Yemi Osinbajo praised the first lady for being very open with her thoughts on governance in the country, even when they’re sometimes controversial.

Also present at the event was a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who describes the first lady as the voice of conscience. Tinubu also donated 20 million naira to the book campaign.
