At least five officials of the National Park Service are feared dead after bandits attacked the agency’s office in Oloka, Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State. The attack occurred on Tuesday night, according to police authorities in the state.
The spokesman for the Oyo State Police Command, Ayanlade Olayinka, confirmed the incident on Wednesday. He said the Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, alongside other security chiefs, was on the way to the affected area.

Mr Olayinka said tactical teams, Mobile Police Force officers of the Nigeria Police Force and explosive ordnance disposal units have been deployed to the location. He said the deployment was aimed at preventing further breakdown of law and order. The bodies of the victims are yet to be recovered.
