Bashir Hadejia, the arrested former aide to the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, is under investigation. This is according to the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
Mr Hadejia, who served as a special adviser to defence minister Matawalle during his tenure as Governor of Zamfara State, was apprehended on Monday. He was arrested for suspicion of treason and subversion against the state.
His arrest has sparked outrage after the emergence of videos and photos connecting him to top government functionaries and politicians.

He is also suspected of being one of the sponsors of the recently ended ‘End-Bad-Governance’ protests in Nigeria.
