Retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, who recently ended a six-month stint as sole administrator of Rivers State, visited the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday. He arrived around 5:30pm, shortly before the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, and the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, were also seen at the Villa.
His visit comes as pressure mounts over demands for an account of his stewardship during the emergency rule period. Ibas relinquished authority on 17 September after President Bola Tinubu restored Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy, and the state legislature.
