Founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations, TB Joshua dies at 57

Popular Nigerian televangelist and founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, T.B. Joshua has died at age 57.

The prophet Joshua died on Saturday after a live broadcast on Emmanuel TV, a Christian television station he ran up until his death.

The cause of death has not been made public.

President Muhammadu Buhari commiserated with the family and members of the church on the passing of their father and founder.

In a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina on Sunday, President Buhari noted that the renowned televangelist will be missed by his followers all over the world not only for his spiritual contributions but for touching many lives through his philanthropic gestures.

Elsewhere, Ondo state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu in a statement said Mr Joshua was a blessing to humanity and a great Ambassador of the Sunshine State whose Ministry was noted for charity.

He further described the late prophet as one who demonstrated a timeless and alluring service to humanity.
