The Nigerian Army has rescued four abducted persons in a joint military operation in Kebbi.
In a statement yesterday, the acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations at 1 Brigade in Gusau, Captain Yahaya Ibrahim, said troops of 8 Division, operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and local vigilantes raided the camp of some terrorists.

Captain Ibrahim also said arms and ammunition were recovered during the operation which resulted in the death of one of the terrorists.
Kebbi is one of the North-Western states affected by banditry. Others are Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina and Kaduna.
