Businessman and socialite Obi Cubana has celebrated the graduation of Jeremiah Ekuma, the Lagos traffic vendor who won national attention in 2022 after he was filmed sharing money with inmates in a correctional service vehicle.
Following the viral clip, Jeremiah received widespread offers of support, including financial aid and business opportunities from Cubana himself. However, he turned them down to pursue a law degree at Ebonyi State University, a decision Obi Cubana described as wise and forward-looking.

In a message shared on Instagram, Obi Cubana praised Jeremiah for prioritising education over immediate comfort, saying his persistence has now positioned him for greater opportunities. Jeremiah’s journey from roadside hawker to law graduate has been hailed as a powerful example of resilience and the life-changing impact of education. Cubana congratulated him, encouraging him to embrace the future with confidence.
