Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara says steps are being taken to stabilise governance and revive the economy of the state. Fubara’s message, delivered by his Chief Press Secretary Nelson Chukwudi, came as Muslims in Rivers joined others worldwide in marking Eid-al-Adha.
Fubara called on Muslims to embrace the festival’s teachings of sacrifice, obedience, and faith, while also urging them to pray for peace and unity in Nigeria. The governor admitted that political challenges have slowed some aspirations but said notable progress has still been achieved.
