Fulham and Super Eagles Celebrate Iwobi’s Football Black List Recognition

The Super Eagles and English Premier League side Fulham FC have celebrated Alex Iwobi’s inclusion in the 2026 edition of the Football Black List. The midfielder was named among the most influential Black individuals in British football.

Iwobi enjoyed a strong 2025–26 season with Fulham, making over 25 Premier League appearances and contributing seven goals and assists. He joins a distinguished list of honourees that includes Eberechi Eze, Jess Carter, and former stars like Kolo Touré.

Founded in 2008, the Football Black List celebrates Black players, coaches, administrators, media professionals, and grassroots organisers. This year’s edition features more women than men for the first time and introduces new categories, including Barclays-backed Community and Grassroots and the Lord Herman Ouseley Leaders category.

The awards aim to spotlight individuals driving change both on and off the pitch. Despite growing representation among players, leadership and coaching roles still show disparities. Honourees will be celebrated at a ceremony in Westminster on April 14, supported by the Premier League.
