Auxerre defender Gabriel Osho has expressed his pride in finally joining up with the Super Eagles squad, describing it as an honour. The 26-year-old was initially called up by then-head coach Finidi George in March, but an untimely injury delayed his debut for the Nigerian national team.
Osho now has an opportunity to earn his first cap for the three-time African champions after being named in the squad for the crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The defender spoke of his elation at the call-up and vowed to give his best for the team, acknowledging the high expectations from the fans, as he added that he and his teammates are fully committed to making the nation proud.
