A coalition of opposition parties in Gombe State has adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its platform for the 2027 general elections. The move was formalised at an expanded caucus meeting in Gombe, attended by leaders from across major political blocs.

Senator Abdullahi Idris Umar, a former Minister of Transportation, said the coalition aims to challenge the ruling APC and rescue Gombe from worsening socio-economic conditions. He announced plans for ward-level mobilisation across the state.
ADC State Chairman Auwal Abba Barde welcomed defectors, urging a united front for change. Key figures from PDP, APC, and other parties—including past gubernatorial aspirants—were present.
