Goodluck Leads West African Leaders For Monitoring Liberia Elections

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has led the West African Elders Forum (WAEF) election observer mission to Liberia ahead of the country’s 2023 general election on October 10th.

In a statement, the National Publicity Secretary of the Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC), Chinyere Oge-Kalu, notes that the IPAC observer mission is expected to return to Nigeria on the 11th October 2023.

Ms Oge-Kalu says efforts by undemocratic forces to reverse the gains made in entrenching Democracy in West Africa in recent times have become a cause for serious concern around the globe especially, Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the IPAC Mission Chairman, Yabagi Yusuf Sani, told journalists in Monrovia, that he expects the election in Liberia to rekindle faith in democracy and its tenets within West Africa and the entire African continent.
