Gospel actor Baba Gbenro is dead

Evangelist Moses Korede Are, founder of Calvary Drama Ministries and revered figure in Nigeria’s gospel drama industry, is dead.

He died following a prolonged struggle with liver disease.

In his final moments, he was surrounded by close friends and family, and took his last breath at 8:10am.

The late Evangelist was known as “Baba Gbenro” for his role in Mount Zion’s Abattoir series. Actor Oluwaseun Adejumobi also announced Baba Gbenro’s death on his Instagram page on Thursday, leaving a tribute which reads;“Heavens’s gain again. General has gone to rest.”
