Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has signed a bill creating 33 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state.
The governor assented to the bill on Saturday, a day after his return from a three-month medical leave in Germany.

This comes nearly a month after the State House of Assembly passed the bill for the creation of the 33 additional councils.
In a statement released by the governor’s media aide, Mr. Richard Olatunde, the governor said the signing of the bill into law marks a substantial step towards fulfilling his campaign promises and addressing the aspirations of the people for enhanced grassroots development.
