Governor Obaseki Names Edo Arena After Rema

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has named Edo State Arena after Afrobeats singer, Divine Ikubor, aka Rema.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the 6000-capacity arena which is named ‘Rema Dome’, was held in Benin City on Wednesday.

Rema, who hails from Edo State, commended the state government for its progress, zeal and growth and pledged his support to the completion of the project.

Governor Obaseki said that the idea was born out of the need to have an arena that can accommodate people at events.
