Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has warned those plotting to rig the 2027 governorship election in the state to “write their will.” He said residents of Abia will not be intimidated by individuals or groups seeking to subvert the democratic process.
Governor Otti gave the warning during his monthly media briefing at the Government House in Umuahia on Thursday. He said his administration is committed to protecting the integrity of future elections and ensuring that the will of the people prevails.

The Labour Party governor, who won his first term in 2023, stressed that any attempt to manipulate the electoral process would be firmly resisted by the people of Abia.
He urged political actors to embrace fair competition and allow voters to freely choose their leaders, saying peace and progress can only thrive through credible elections.
