Mr Gboyega Soyannwo, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is dead.
Soyannwo, 55, was said to have died on Wednesday after a brief illness.
In a statement, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, said the 55 year old Mr Soyannwo died on Wednesday after a brief illness.

The state information commissioner also said the news of Mr Soyannwo’s demise was delivered by Governor Sanwo-Olu to cabinet members at the State Executive Council.
After a minute’s silence in honour of the deceased, the governor ended the meeting.
The late Soyannwo is survived by a wife and two children.
