Gunmen Abduct Churchgoers in Ondo State

Gunmen Abduct Churchgoers in Ondo State

Three members of a church have been abducted by gunmen in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State. The incident occurred on Monday evening as the victims were returning from a Bible study session in the Kasemola area of Ogbese.

A message from church leadership confirmed the abduction and urged the congregation to pray for the safe return of the kidnapped members. The attack has left the local community in fear.

The spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, Olushola Ayanlade, said a joint team of security operatives, including the Nigerian Army and Amotekun Corps, is currently combing the surrounding forest to locate and rescue the victims.

He appealed to residents of the area to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities as the investigation and rescue efforts continue.
