Gunmen have kidnapped two Chinese nationals working on the BUA Bode Saadu–Kaiama–Kosubosu road project in Kwara State. The attackers, who were masked, stormed the construction site in Ejidongari, Moro LGA on Monday, firing shots as they seized the expatriates.
Kwara State Police Commissioner Adekimi Ojo confirmed the abduction, saying the victims were taken from the project site but declined to give further details. Police operatives have since begun tracking the kidnappers.
The incident comes amid rising cases of kidnappings and violent crimes across the state in recent weeks. Residents say the worsening insecurity has created fear in several rural communities.
