Gunmen on Sunday attacked a worship centre during a church service in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. The incident occurred at the Evangelical Church Winning All in the Omugo community, where members had gathered for Sunday worship.
Eyewitnesses say the attackers stormed the church and fired shots, causing panic as worshippers fled in different directions. In the confusion, eight people were abducted by the gunmen.
Reports indicate that three of the victims later escaped from captivity, while five others are still being held by the attackers. The incident comes months after a similar attack on a church in Eruku within the state.
