Gunmen have killed two siblings and abducted four other residents in a village in Gombe State. Gombe Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi confirmed the police received a distress call at about 3:30am on Sunday.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations led a team of senior officers to the scene where they recovered six empty AK-47 shells and one live round of ammunition.
DSP Abdullahi said tactical and intelligence-led operations have been intensified in the area and hunters and local vigilante groups have been mobilised to participate in rescuing the abducted victims and apprehending the perpetrators.

The state governor extended his condolences to families of the deceased and promised to intensify security operations, intelligence gathering, and deepened collaboration with communities.
