The Co-ordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, has identified poor funding, brain drain and lack of modern facilities as major impediments to quality healthcare service delivery in Nigeria.
He stated this at the 13th Biennial Delegates Meeting and Scientific Conference of the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), yesterday, in Kano.

Represented by the Chief Medical Director of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Dr Abdurrahman Sheshe, the minister enjoined medical practitioners to support the government, as it could not do it all alone.
