The House of Representatives Committee on Constitution Review will on Monday hold a high-level consultation with leaders of registered political parties as part of efforts to ensure broad participation in the ongoing amendment of the 1999 Constitution.
House spokesperson Akin Rotimi said the meeting would involve national chairmen, secretaries, and women leaders of political parties, who are expected to share perspectives and make recommendations on key national issues.

Deliberations will cover priority areas including women’s representation, judicial and electoral reforms, independent candidacy, local government autonomy, state policing, and human rights. Committee chair and Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu described the engagement as a strategic platform for political parties to contribute institutional insights toward achieving credible and inclusive constitutional reforms that reflect the aspirations of Nigerians.
