House of Reps Donates ₦705m to Support Vulnerable Nigerians

The House of Representatives has donated ₦705 million to the Federal Government to help ease economic hardship among vulnerable Nigerians.  

Speaker Tajudeen Abbas announced the donation during an Iftar dinner hosted by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. He said the gesture reflects the lawmakers’ commitment to supporting those in need, particularly during Ramadan.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, speaking on behalf of the president, called on lawmakers to prioritise unity and national development over political differences. He commended President Tinubu’s leadership, describing him as a visionary and inclusive leader.  

Shettima also expressed optimism that the government’s economic policies are yielding results and encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful about the nation’s future.
