Eric Chelle, the newly appointed head coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, has expressed his determination to meet the high expectations of the nation’s football enthusiasts, with victory as his primary objective.
Speaking at his official unveiling in Abuja on Monday, the Franco-Malian tactician underlined his preference for an attacking style of play, emphasising the necessity of instilling a winning mentality within the squad.

The new coach faces an immediate challenge, as Nigeria prepares for the gruelling 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Super Eagles currently sit fifth in their group with just three points, trailing group leaders Rwanda by four.
