The Galatasaray coach has come under mounting pressure following a string of poor results, including a European defeat to AZ Alkmaar and domestic setbacks against Fenerbahçe and Kasımpaşa. Discontented fans have taken to social media demanding his departure.
Despite the criticism, the 26-year-old forward has stood by Buruk, making his position clear to the club’s hierarchy. His remarks have sparked debate in Turkey, even as he remains focused on Nigeria’s World Cup campaign.
