The International Criminal Court (ICC) has rejected Israel’s request to stop an ongoing investigation into alleged war crimes related to the conflict in Gaza. The ruling allows the probe to continue, including events that followed the Hamas-led attacks.
The decision was issued by judges on appeal, who upheld a lower court’s ruling that the prosecutor’s investigation may proceed.
Arrest warrants for Israeli leaders remain in place, and the court’s jurisdiction over alleged crimes under the Rome Statute continues as outlined by the ICC’s prosecutors.

Israel has denied the allegations and does not recognise the ICC’s authority in the matter, while the conflict has resulted in significant civilian casualties and international concern.
