Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho returned to scoring form as Celtic defeated Motherwell 3–2 in a thrilling Scottish Premiership clash at Celtic Park. The Super Eagles forward opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 27th minute, ending a two-game goal drought.
Motherwell equalised before half-time through Apostolos Stamatelopoulos, who later added a second from the spot to put the visitors ahead early in the second half. But Celtic responded strongly, with Benjamin Nygren and Daizen Maeda netting to secure victory for the champions.

Iheanacho, substituted in the 71st minute, delivered a lively performance, registering key passes and creative touches throughout. The 27-year-old has now scored three goals and provided one assist in six appearances since joining Celtic. Despite his current form, he was omitted from Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin.
