Ikorodu City boss urges players to stay focused after narrow win

Ikorodu City head coach Bright Ozebagbe says he is not satisfied with his team’s performance despite their 2 1 victory over Plateau United in the Nigeria Premier Football League. Joseph Arumala and Alade Balogun scored for Ikorodu City, while Wisdom Ndom pulled one back for Plateau United.

Ozebagbe said the goal conceded was a result of a lapse in concentration. He noted that the team had worked on defending throw ins near the box, but his players switched off at a crucial moment, allowing Plateau United to score.

The coach said he was particularly disappointed that his side failed to keep a clean sheet, stressing that the team must remain disciplined in defensive situations. He added that improvements were needed if the club hoped to maintain consistency.
