President Bola Tinubu on Monday unequivocally responded to critics who described his cabinet as “bloated” by saying he is unprepared to reduce the size of his 48-man cabinet.
Speaking during a media chat in Lagos, the president said he will not reduce the size of his cabinet. He called for an emphasis on efficiency which, he said, guided his choice of ministers.

President Tinubu also fielded questions on his decision to suddenly discontinue Nigeria’s fuel subsidy scheme, saying he had no regrets about his decision.
According to him, Nigeria was spending her future while playing the ostrich. This, he added, necessitated the need for reform.
