INEC’s New Era Begins as Amupitan Holds Inaugural Meeting in Abuja

The newly appointed Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor Joash Amupitan, will hold his first meeting with Directors of the Commission immediately after his swearing-in on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

A statement by Wilfred Ifogah, Deputy Director of Publicity, said the session is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Conference Hall of INEC Headquarters in Abuja. It will be Professor Amupitan’s first official engagement since assuming office.
