Sevilla striker Akor Adams has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024/25 season after sustaining a thigh injury in the club’s 2-1 defeat to Atlético Madrid. The 25-year old Nigerian forward suffered damage to the rectus femoris muscle in his right leg and is expected to be sidelined for at least two months, effectively drawing a line under his debut campaign in La Liga.

Adams joined Sevilla from French side Montpellier in January for €5.5m, arriving with hopes of lifting a faltering attack in a season overshadowed by relegation fears. However, his time in Spain has been marred by fitness issues.
After debuting in early February, he was quickly sidelined and missed several weeks. Since returning, he has featured sparingly, playing just three matches, and is yet to find the net. Adams had previously registered 11 goals in 47 Ligue 1 appearances for Montpellier.
