Iran Says Intelligence Ministry Arrests Foreign Agents

At least 555 people killed in Iran after US, Israeli strikes

Iran’s Intelligence Ministry says it has arrested a foreign national accused of spying for the United States and Israel, according to statements carried by Iranian state media. Authorities said the suspect was allegedly operating as a proxy for two Gulf countries while gathering intelligence inside Iran. The arrest was reported on Tuesday amid heightened tensions linked to the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel.

The ministry also said it had detained 30 additional individuals described as spies, internal mercenaries and operational agents linked to the United States and Israel. Officials said the arrests were carried out in recent days as part of broader counter-intelligence operations aimed at disrupting suspected espionage activities in the country.

Iranian authorities did not release the identity or nationality of the foreign suspect, but said the operation was conducted following intelligence monitoring and security investigations.
