Israeli forces have detained and interrogated medical staff following the evacuation of Kamal Adwan Hospital, the last major health facility in northern Gaza, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the hospital’s director, was reportedly among those questioned by the Israel Defense Forces, IDF, who accused him of being a “Hamas terrorist operative.”

The World Health Organization has condemned the incident, expressing outrage over what it described as the disabling of a critical healthcare facility in a region already in crisis. “We are appalled by Saturday’s raid,” the organisation stated, emphasising the severe implications for medical care in the area.
Meanwhile, the IDF defended its actions, claiming it had “facilitated the secure evacuation of civilians, patients, and medical personnel” prior to initiating the operation.
