Aid trucks began entering Gaza on Wednesday as Israel prepared to reopen the Rafah crossing, easing tensions that had threatened the fragile ceasefire with Hamas. The dispute arose after Israel accused Hamas of delaying the return of dead hostages, warning it could block aid deliveries.
Between Tuesday and Wednesday, Hamas handed over additional Israeli bodies, prompting Israel to resume preparations to allow both humanitarian aid and limited civilian movement. Officials say up to 600 trucks are expected to cross.

Israel has so far returned 45 of 360 Palestinian bodies under the agreement, while international teams continue searching for 21 remaining Israeli hostages’ remains.
