The Israeli government has promised to respond to an Iranian missile attack which occurred on Tuesday.
This is according to Israeli Defence Forces Spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, who said Israel will respond [QUOTE] wherever, whenever and however we choose, in accordance with the directive of the government of Israel [END QUOTE].
The Israeli government said more than 180 missiles were launched into Israel from Iran, activating its air defences to intercept them. The Pentagon said U.S. Navy warships fired about a dozen interceptors against the missiles, assisting the Israeli defences.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps said the assault was in retaliation for recent Israeli killings of militant leaders and aggression in Lebanon and Gaza.
