An Israeli air strike killed three Palestinian men in Gaza on Monday as they attempted to gather firewood, according to local medical sources, amid continued deadlock in negotiations over a sustained ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
The Israeli military said its forces targeted “terrorists” operating near its troops and attempting to plant a bomb. It also said that Palestinian groups have made repeated attempts to carry out attacks against Israeli forces.

Ismail Al-Thawabta, head of Gaza’s government media office, said 150 Palestinians have been killed since the January ceasefire and warned that Israeli “violations” could jeopardise efforts to de-escalate the conflict.
