Israeli Airstrikes Hit Beirut, Southern Lebanon,Displace Over 1 Million People

Israeli airstrikes have struck three neighbourhoods in Beirut and multiple towns in southern Lebanon, Lebanese state media reported. Authorities say the attacks have displaced more than one million people since March 2, with over 130,000 housed in temporary shelters.

Lebanon’s National News Agency said the strikes hit Kafaat, Haret Hreik, and Doha Aramoun, with at least one person injured. Israel confirmed the raids, saying its targets were Hezbollah positions and military infrastructure.

The Israeli army issued evacuation warnings for areas south of the Litani River and launched a limited ground operation against Hezbollah. The army said displaced residents will not be allowed to return until northern Israeli communities are secured.
