The Israeli military claims that in its air strikes on two schools in northern Gaza on Sunday that killed at least 30 people, it succeeded in killing a local Hamas commander.
It says that Jaber Aziz, who was allegedly the commander of the Gaza City-based Sheikh Radwan Battalion, was killed along with a number of other Palestinian fighters.

The Israeli military also claims that the commander played a significant role in planning the October 7 attacks and he personally participated in them.
