An Israeli airstrike on a police station in Jabalia, northern Gaza, has left at least 10 people dead and dozens injured, according to local health officials. The facility, situated near a busy market, was reportedly struck by two missiles.
The Israeli military stated it had targeted a command centre allegedly used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives to coordinate attacks on Israeli forces. It reiterated long-standing claims that militant groups operate from civilian areas—an assertion denied by Palestinian factions.

Elsewhere, at least 34 more people were reported killed in separate strikes across the territory, pushing Thursday’s death toll to 44.
Gaza’s Health Ministry also confirmed that the Durra Children’s Hospital in Gaza City is no longer functional. An earlier airstrike damaged its intensive care unit and destroyed solar infrastructure, exacerbating an already dire medical crisis.
The latest escalation comes amid renewed international concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
