Israeli forces have bombed a United Nations-run school in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, killing at least 20 displaced Palestinians sheltering in the building, according to witnesses cited by Al Jazeera. The attack, which came without warning on Sunday night, is part of a broader escalation in Gaza.
Palestinian officials report that over 60 people were killed in the last 24 hours in strikes targeting several areas, including Beit Hanoon, Deir el-Balah, and the Nuseirat refugee camp. The injured and deceased from the school attack were taken to the Nasser Medical Complex.

Since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, at least 45,028 Palestinians have been killed, with 106,962 others wounded, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
UNRWA facilities in Gaza have frequently been targeted during the conflict, raising concerns about the safety of civilians seeking refuge in such designated shelters.
