At least 13 Palestinians were reported killed on Sunday following Israeli air strikes across Gaza, with dozens more wounded, according to hospital officials. Among the dead were six members of a family who had fled northern Gaza and were struck while sheltering in Deir al-Balah.
The Israeli military did not immediately comment but continued its operations in Gaza City, demolishing several high-rise buildings shortly after issuing online evacuation warnings. Residents said some towers were destroyed within an hour of being ordered out.

Israel maintains that Hamas embeds fighters and infrastructure within civilian areas, claims presented without supporting evidence. Officials said Hamas had observation posts tracking troop movements and planned attacks on Israeli soldiers. Israel has rejected international accusations of genocide, insisting its campaign targets militant networks rather than civilians.
