At least 22 people, including six children, were killed in Israeli airstrikes across Gaza on Wednesday, according to the territory’s civil defence agency.
Officials said 10 members of a single family died in Al-Mawasi, near Khan Yunis, while a separate strike on Al-Shati refugee camp, close to Gaza City, left another 10 dead and over 30 wounded. Victims included members of two extended families.

Footage from Al-Mawasi showed shredded tents and children’s belongings strewn across the rubble. Crowds of mourners gathered at Al-Shifa Hospital, which warned it could cease operations within hours due to fuel shortages.
The strikes coincided with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington, where the war against Hamas dominated talks.
Israel’s military said it was verifying the reports. Gaza’s already strained health system remains on the brink of collapse.
