Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu says the state will demolish Jankara and Bombata markets on Lagos Island as part of measures to address perennial flooding in the area.
The Governor made the announcement during an inspection tour of Lagos Island.

He also said stakeholders are being consulted over a decision to pull down Pelewura Market.
Governor Sanwo-Olu attributed the flooding in the area to the illegal construction of buildings and shanties on drainage channels.
