Afrobeats singer Jaywon has advised celebrities to develop resilience in dealing with social media criticism, insisting that a thick skin is essential for survival in the entertainment industry.
He stressed that the Nigerian music scene is unforgiving to those unable to withstand public scrutiny, noting that even leading figures such as Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy are frequently subjected to online attacks.

Jaywon warned that any artist unwilling to face criticism is unlikely to endure in the industry. Rather than retreat from social media, he encouraged musicians to remain active on digital platforms, using them as tools to promote their work.
