More than 3,250 homes in the Jenin refugee camp have been rendered uninhabitable amid Israel’s ongoing military offensive in the northern occupied West Bank, according to the city’s mayor, Mohammed Jarrar.
Mr Jarrar described the situation as “entirely catastrophic,” accusing Israeli forces of systematically demolishing, bombing, and burning Palestinian homes. He said an appeal to halt the planned demolition of 93 additional buildings, containing around 300 housing units, had been rejected by Israel.

The mayor added that the camp’s infrastructure had been devastated, leaving it uninhabitable and in urgent need of reconstruction after years of repeated Israeli operations.
The latest offensive is part of a wider Israeli military campaign in the northern West Bank, ongoing since January, which has killed more than 70 Palestinians and displaced thousands.
